before you ask this question you need to: Select which Catapole?

Black 1968-1973 Duro fiber
Green 1972-1978 Duro fiber
Yellow 1978-1984 Ampro
Clear with Black tape 1993-1995 SSG
Clear with Yellow tape 1995-1996 SSG
Yellow glass 1996-1997 SSG
clear with white tape 1998 SSG
NEW ONES?
If you are asking about a new catapole.
It is simalar to an Altius but a slower come back.
The pole has some butt strength that makes it moderate in the carry weight which wil make the pole feel heavy, when it may be the same weight as other poles.

ive jumped on a few catapoles but i havent spent much time using them. for some reason i seem to mash catapoles. the last one i jumped on was a 14' 160lb that felt like a 130lb b/c it was so light. it gave alot of power back, but i only used it for a week and dont remember much else.

it was dark green with a yellow sticker. I went through it when imoved my step back from a 6 to a 7 step and i went through 4 poles in one day. I really started attacking the box more from a 7 and i finally found that pole, but i soon moved up.

Well i had alot of success on some old yellow catapoles, two of joe dials old poles that my dad bought. A 16 170 and 175. They were sweet poles for being as old as they were I jumped 15-6 to 15-10 on them finally broke the 170 at the end of the seaon on a low plant!

i got an old cata-pole the unfair advantage dark green kind bob seagren used. its a 16'6 155 and it is the heaviest pole ive ever picked up. I guess it was the whole fiber glass back then and not graphite and s*** i dunno but its only a 155!!
