Lone star I looked at a few Altius poles that came through just this week.
We tested them and here were the results.
The new label was really nice Paul good job. RED white and Blue very patriotic

Lone Star I stand corrected on your post and thanks

[color=blue][b]I was talking to a pole supplier the other day and they did have their poles designed so you could hold at the top of the pole. When the rule was set in place for a ring of 3". They did as you said increase the length to accommodate the ring. SO you are correct about one of your urban legends (GRIN) and I stand corrected.
It was the first I had heard of such a thing but it does now make sense that they would do it if their poles were already made to hold at the top. We are now doing that now to our poles.
There is no reason to buy a pole with a part of the pole you cannot use and it is too tempting to move the ring up on the pole or hold up there. So we take the temptation away and give you 3â€Â
