Jump-Offs and State Records

I have a question:
Under high school rules, following a jump-off victory at a meet, is the winner allowed another attempt at a meet/state record, or is the event over following the jump-off?
We couldn't find anything in the 2010 rule book that specifically addressed that situation.

The event is over as soon as the jump off has concluded, there are no additional attempts.

That's what we thought and that's what was done, but we just couldn't find it written down anywhere.

Some of these nuances vary by State. In WI I believe, the height achieved prior to the jump-off is the winning height, not the height achieved during the jump off.
For example if there is a tie at 15 ft which requires a jump-off, if the winning jump-off height is 15'3, the winning height for the meet is still 15 ft. The jump-off is only used to break the tie.

NFHS Rule Book (2010) page 50 Rule 7 Section 3 Art. 3 . . . in the vertical jumping events, a competitor shall be credited with his/her best achievement if it occurs in a jump-off for first place. I know some states "adjust" some of the rules, but this is how it is listed by the Nat. Fed.
