A routine pole vault attempt during track practice at Indiana Wesleyan University ended with Dave Chamberlain crashing backwards onto the runway and breaking his arm.
Many athletes simply would have called it quits after such a painful fall. But not Chamberlain.
He fought back from that injury to continue his college athletic career a year later. It's that persistent attitude that landed Chamberlain his current job as Program Director at the Miami County YMCA this past summer.
