Pretty simple. I was raised near the 'hood in L.A.. My original fictitious pole vault organization was the "Southwest Los Angeles Inner City Pole Vaulters Association."

I had the name on my plates when I lived in Houstonville.

Mine comes from about 30 years ago as a decathlete (Deca). I used to train with decathletes Robert Baker, Jim Jones, and Keith Stewart at West Texas State U. We had daily training routines (as most do)... One of the sayings used was "Rag-Out", which translated simply means good luck and get going.

So "Rag-Out" stuck and I just used part of it with decathlon - thus "DecaRag".

Sounds like a dance name...

Ask me later for the "Decathlon Creed" - it's an original.

Big Oops. I thought I was on a board where I go by "ladude."

The story for this one is simple, too. I'm a vaulter who is an M.D. and some of my pole vault activities are those of an M.D., such as when I participate in various committees.

OK so mine is not very imaginative either

Vault = I Vault, there for, I am

west = I live and have always lived in the west ( Oh yeah my last name is west also)

thus - vaultwest
