Hi everybody,

Grigory Yegorov jumped 5,90 (his PB) in Yokohoma in 1990 and then attempted a new WR (6,04)

He was very close but didn't success. He's now living in Spain and he's training my 12 years old daughter. He told me some US vaulter recorded his attempts and promised to send him a copy, but it never happened and he finally lost the contact.

He's a very kind person and I'd like getting a copy of those videos as a present for him.

Does any of you vaulted in that championship and recorded Yegorov's attempts? Or maybe you know about somebody who was there...

No 1990 indoor attempt at 6.04, but here's a clearance of his over 5.60 - possibly from 1993. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4OcdtlTyP2M

I hope you can find his WR attempts on vid. A starting point might be to determine which US vaulters competed in Yokohama in 1990, then track it from there. :idea:

According to http://www.trackandfieldnews.com/images/stories/Rankings/15-mpvrank.pdf, the 2 top Americans in 1990 were Tim Bright and Kory Tarpenning. Perhaps one of them might have some vid? Or at least remember who competed in Yokohama that year? :confused:

Incidentally, Grigoriy Yegorov was ranked 2nd that year. :yes:
