He should've been the world #1 in '96 over Bubka. Head-to-Head, Igor was 4-1 against him that year and had the 2nd-4th highest vaults in the world that year (Bubka had a 6.02 or 6.03 to Igor's 6.00) plus an OG silver medal. For whatever reason, Track and Field News gave Bubka the #1 ranking that year.
