I totally agree with the Michael Jackson-like qualities of Johnny Depp in that movie. Actually, I heard he doesn't play Willy Wonka but Charlie, when he grows up. Weird.
Sorry to bring you bad news, but Johnny Depp is going to be playing the part of Williy Wonka. It is a twisted remake of the 1971 movie. But the new movie will go more in depth of the willy wonka character-- like how he found the Oompa-Lumpas and the stories that were told by Willy Wonka in the original. Plus it shows Willy Wonka's childhood, i think, with his dad.

Well, that would be very messed up if the movie was more of a sequel but from the previews it's way to hard to be one with almost all the characters looking so much like the original (for example, a fat kid and a snotty one always chewing gum) to take place as Charlie all grown up.
It would be very interesting to see how Charlie turned out though after all those messed up things that Willy put him through to get that "position"
