you could probably get a good road bike for more like 800 to 1000 but that is still a lot of money. i was actually in a bike shop yesterday and came so close to buying one. the bike im currently riding to work every day is about 30 years old. gets the job done though.
oh, and by the way 200+ miles is amazing
great job!!!

Becca- We basically followed I-5 on back roads never getting much more than 5mi away from it. Whith major rest stops in Spannawy, Centralia, Kelso, and Scappouse.
Zach- My bike was only $400 and you can get used ones even cheaper. In fact I may be selling it if I find a good deal on higher end bike.

Wow thats cheap what is it? You're probably right I just need to ask at some of the shops about used road bikes. But does that mean I have to give up my baggies for spandex???

I never thought I would wear the spndex when I Switched from MTB to road. But, why work harder than you have to?

Awesome. Every year when I watch the Tour de France I want a road bike more and more. Unfortunately I don't have a couple thousand extra dollars laying around.
Tomorrow the most beautiful stage. A time trail at Alp d’Huez.

Managed to ride that stage just under an hour. Tomorrow they probably will finish in less than 40 minutes.
Yeh, I am so creasy to spend the couple of thousand dollars for my bike.
It's even more expensive than my car I bought a couple of month ago
