Hobbies

Unread postby keelowman » Tue Mar 25, 2003 1:20 pm

I know everyone on this site are avid pole vaulters, and probably eat, sleep and breath pole vaulting. I just wanted to know if anyone had other hobbies that they also do or love. For me besides polevaulting I love to ride dirt bikes, (97 RM 125) is what I roll. Last weekend I went riding up in the mountains and came up short on a 40 foot step up, only to barely make it on a second try. What do you guys do for fun?

P.S. I dont know about other States but here in CA all vaulters love to party and drink, me included.
ahh San Diego: women, sun , beaches, pole vault, what else do you need.

where are the surfers??? although unfortunately i cannot call myself one, i was always under the impression that vaulting and surfing go hand in hand. i mean, come on, thats what the original beach vault all about.

I kinda surf....I actually hate it though. Its a whole hell of alot work to ride a wave! I think If I were to ride "real" waves--west coast stuff--as opposed to the s*** Texas surf we see, It might be a little better.

I surf a little but at this point I don't have enough money to buy the board I want to. I have my eye on a ...lost 6'6" board but at $350 I will stick to boogie boarding for a little longer. Also the closest beach is Pismo which is a great beach but the waves are pretty small.
