you are required to. I was driving and the passenger was the instructor. Track driving events are a blast! It allows you to see what you and your care are capable of in a safe controlled environment. Good times! It burns through tires and brakes pretty fast though!

I will be going off to college here shortly and I am trying to decide what I want to do with my vehicle situation. I can either keep my trusty old Jeep until it dies, trade it in for a newer jeep, or my newest idea is buying a Subaru WRX. It is just hard to give up a jeep. I know most people don't understand it, but they are an addiction like vaulting!

You should probably assess costs and usage of the vehicle. Money is usually a bit tighter for people during college - so if you are going to be travelling, gas prices are a factor. Insurance is another aspect - I'm not sure which would be higher, cause Jeeps are famous for higher insurance, but sports cars are too... (there's a possibility that it wont be too bad though since its a sedan) Also, weather and comfort. Both of those vehicle handle well in most weather conditions (gotta love all wheel drive on a sports car), but you could be more comfortable in the car - however in lots of snow, or mud, or whatever, the Jeep will definitely handle better. I guess its going to come down to which you would like to have more.
Let us know what you end up deciding.

Hahaha - they are nice.

So does anyone have any funny pictures of their vehicles with poles attached to the top? - I've seen a few that were pretty funny.

agreed! i had a nissan pathfinder that was perfect, w great racks for poles...but a 04 mustang hit me in a parking lot going like 30 or 40 and it looked like a highway crash...her bumper was 20 ft away from her car, but luckily mines not totaled...just 10-12 K dollars of damage :(

I've had 3 pole bags (1' diameter) on the top of my A4.
