I currently have a (legal) copy of Dartfish Teampro. I'm considering offering the Dartfish services to anyone on this board. This would be a FREE service to board members. If anyone's interested just let me know..
if you don't know what Dartfish is check out www.dartfish.com

If you came to Knoxville I could show you in real time as you vault and I could email you a copy of the movies we make during your vault session. However, that may start to push the "free" part of the offer if demands a lot of my time......

that's fine with me!!! compress them as much as you can. I can take just about any format except Quicktime movies, and that'll change soon...

Do you want full approach video, or mainly take off and jump, or both?

Master, it depends on what you are analyzing. For example I have sync'd a couple of the elites at take off and combined the videos into one showing both full approaches and similaniously taking off. Then you can compare take-off efficiencies, over strides at the plant, bend characteristics of different poles, etc. In some cases I've taken my athletes and compared consecutive jumps to see why the were deep in thepit on one and shallow on the other. It's pretty incredible stuff....One of the keys is to have the camera on a tripod and pretty much in the same location on jumps you want to compare....it works without that, but not as well..

Thanks. That's helpful. After I wrote my post, I thought about what I would want to learn about my jumps. Then I wondered just how that could be accomplished using this tool. Comparisons seem good. I might have video of a couple of jumps that would be interesting to try to determine reasons for differing amounts of pit penetration.
