I don't have any specific advice for you or Jake, but I'd be very interested in hearing the advice of certain coaches that have coached guys/gals like Colwick ... or Colwick himself.
Dave Butler? (Rachel Greff, Jason Colwick

My Colwick-wannabe has serious issues with getting his plant up and with pulling with the top arm, so that's what we've been working on all season. I will wait until we get that fixed to decide if I want to try and change the bottom half.

good morning,
DB would probally say..
keep your "MID" tight so you can "increase the frequency" into the plant.. plant high, "go elastic" and swing "through" vertical...

Thanx DJ.....sent your bro the clip ...waiting for his input....that jump at 15-6 was on a 185 14.8 15 holding 14-4..he's 160 5-10... he did 16 with the same pole..... 98 percent efficient on his mid,,

Thanx Kirk.............................is Colwick on here??? I've tried to get the knee up but he's on sticks 15's 25 over his weight... I did notice with that style on softer poles 175 and even on the 80 that sometime there is like a two stage vault....bend at the take off and a slight hesitation of the pole on the swing ..on the 85 it is more fluid....read some of the threads... interesting.... he is succesful at it...but I like to committee things...never paid attention to Colwick til i showed the clip to Souleman

I've never seen Colwick on here ... I was referring to his coach Dave Butler.
