I have no coach so it's really hard to find help. I esspecially need help getting out of this "U" posistion that I'm in instead of being vertical. I think maybe I need to use my arms and my abs to pull myself out of the U and into the straight up and down position that i want but im not sure.
this is a clip of my jump. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BwzawoQOKVo

Re: NEED HELP!!! VIDEO PROVIDED
(Hey, you want to put posts for video analysis in the 'video' forum... Just for future posts. )
First thing's first, start carrying the pole vertically. You can't possibly run or plant correctly (which leads to an impossibility of taking off, swinging, etc. correctly) unless you fix that.
No... You need to swing. The arms have almost nothing to do with it... Basically, all they're good for between take-off and pull-turn is hanging on to the pole (NOT pulling on it). Abs, yes, but this is all earlier in the jump. Momentum is what carries you upside down...
Shoot me a PM, I'll be your coach... I'm injured right now, so I have a LOT of extra time.
