Hey everybody, yesterday was the second time, this week, that i cleared 14' in a meet. I've been mainly on a 14' 155 but when the bar went up to 14' i moved to a 14' 160. The video says it all, so I'll just go through what i felt about each jump. Bare in mind that I had a 100-degree fever, which I'm still fighting now (thank god for adrenaline!!). But that's why I jumped at so many heights.

12'6 o: I was about a foot or two, out...enough said
13 o': I think this was my cleanest vault of the day (PRE-JUMP), but I'm still not coming back, as much as I should, and that's why I shoot outward, instead of as upward.
13'6 xxo: All of these jumps were pretty similar. As my coach put it, I was 'finishing' the vault. I wasn't coming back as much as I should have been, and i was hitting the bar off, on the way up. I only made it, on the third attempt, because i moved the standards, almost all the way back. On the make, I was under by about a foot. I can deffinately see how taking off, under, killed my swing.
14 o: At the time, I felt like i was blowing through the 14' 155 (i was at least landing in the back of the coaches-box), so I moved up to a 14' 160 (18.0-flex). I was a bit under, and I deffinately could have been TALLER AT TAKE-OFF. I swung 'somewhat', but still broke my trail-leg, too early.
14'6 x: I had a decent take-off, aside from the fact that my left arm collapsed A LOT haha. I broke my trail-leg, very early, but managed to get back, probably more than on any other jump. I was over it, but my chest knocked it down. (the pole just couldn't give me the nessessary 'pop'. I should have either been on a 14' 165, or been gripping higher (would have been a 26-inch push-off)
14'6 xx: Better take-off, I began to swing long, but I feel that I broke it, too much, after reaching the cord of the pole (a little early, even), HOWEVER, I was very tired by this time and I never dropped my shoulders and got into the horrible 'V' position, and I'm sure you can see the rest.
PROBLEMS:
- Breaking my trail leg, before I swing to the cord of the pole.
- Not coming back enough. I think I'm still kind of tucking my chin and that's causing my to shoot-out, instead of up.
- Collapsing of the left arm
- ODD ONE: I think i'm extending my right leg, after inversion, too early, and it's greatly slowing my rotation.
So let me know guys. Thank you. - 6P

I really think the pole is just a little too small... Maybe I'll analyze some later.
