17' Bungee Critique Please!!

Unread postby Mitch » Wed Jan 30, 2008 12:15 am

I am going from 6 lefts (about 81') on a 14'6" 175 holding 14'2" going at a 17' bungee. I know that I don't get my top arm all the way up at my plant and I am also flagging out a little bit early but other than that let me know what you guys think.

Extend your whole body up through your hands at takeoff. Lead your takeoff with your chest, and finish your takeoff with your trail leg extended longer behind you, toe pointing back down the runway.

good jumps man from 6 lefts, get some extra run in there and on a little higher grip and you will smoke it.

Nice vaulting! Takeoff just looks a little low, if you can fix that you could get your grip up a bit. It also looks like you're hesitant to drop your shoulders which would have probably got you back in time to clear the bungee. Good luck.

How about covering those standards with some base pads? You look like you know what your doing, but all it takes is one bad jump.

Safety first!

Trail Leg

Unread postby munsoned » Sat Feb 23, 2008 9:06 pm

Looks great, you really bring it on your last few steps. You are pulling your trail leg a bit, rather than kicking it. If you can kick your trail leg long through the bottom, then roll your pelvis you will cover the top of your pole. In other words, you will then be lined up before your pole recoils.
