Me pole vaulting today, any help is appreciated since i just am starting. Thanks!

Age: 14
Weight:155
Grade:8th (not for long!)
How long i've vaulted: 3 weeks
Pole: 12' 130
Gripping: 10'
Starting from: 50 feet
Standards at: 23???

on the 7' 2" your losing at lot of speed by pulling the pole up that early and you have a good knee drive trail leg looks good i think

on both 7' 4" attempts
you had no knee drive and no trail leg you can fix this by doin pop ups

what do you mean by "pulling the pole up early"? do you mean when i put my right hand on top now?

Film from the side even with your take off...at least 30 feet away. Filming from behind the pit is worthless.

sorry bout bein unclear i meant when your running down the runway looks like you lift the pole way early i think

Don't try to jump but when your pole hits the back of the box you want to be to the point were you are about to get off the ground or only in the air for a fraction of a second. if you really try to jump high you might slow down and that will kill you vault. You kinda want to pop up off your plant foot.
