Thank You. This is all we were trying to say. Hands High, High Plant, Pressur upwards = Pushing pole to vert. This is a technique derived from stiff pole vaulting. So I absolutely agree with BethelPV.
Also VaultPurple I do disagree with your comment:

I believe if the "high-hands" are executed properly. (high hands= chest drive= increased C position= increased swing) when u are at the point of swinging up the pole should already be "rolled out" or "warped out" . Which means tht the hands would not be in the way of the legs/chest/body which would allow for a proper rock-back (invert) Also keeping the arms unbent and hanging back/ shifting weight/ or pivoting off the shoulders during the rockback (invert) allows for a proper and strong invert. just my thoughts lemme kno what u think

Sweet bro. I wish i had resoures like tht, and a coach. But its all good i guess. I'm also 5' 9 (roughly) I have a lighter build than u, 140lbs and i'm on a 165 Carbon Fx 15'6 griping 14, and sometimes 14'6. Hey do u think i could send u vid from time 2 time and u could critique it 4 me?? tht'd be awesome because so far i've been going off of online articles and watching the pro's. lol . Also r u going to NON??

still "lock" is not a good word. A better word 2 describe what we are talking about is position. High hand (right and left) position to drive chest which increases C position and swing. And locking does not completly prohibit you from swinging. I know from personal experience. Have you even tried getting your left arm high Sooch???
Yep, I read and learn haha, speaking of which, take a look at everyone else's comments and responses too.
Anyway, I'm not disagree with having a nice high plant, and I'm still working and getting that plant up. However, I don't think you should be putting pressure with the bottom arm, but honestly this isn't really that big of an issue in my opinion. If you want to put pressure with the bottom arm and have found success with it, than that's fine.
The issue that I'm discussing is teaching beginner vaulters to get "feel" for the bend by locking out their bottom arms.
Anyway, all this arguing is getting to be too much.
Just a side note, from what I've read, I believe that by not putting pressure with the bottom arm and instead allowing a better chest drive and allow your shoulders to act as shock absorbers, it maintains the bend of the pole. I think this allows you to get in to a better position when you swing your legs up

i didnt mean as in a high plant... i meant stiff arming with a short pole so your bottom had is basicaly infront of your face and gets in your way... there is no problme with a longer pole because the angle between the pole and the ground is smaller so the pole is more over your head...
i wasnt saying that the stiff arm in front is right... just bends it alot. you eventualy can go from that to still pushing arm out but as you develop more skill it becomes more of an upward motion where after you plant and accheive the C position, your bottom arm is accualy almost straight over your head and your top hand is a little behind your head because of the chest drive.

Petrov slight differense to me the lower arm comes in. the things i see and hear wrong with that style. the stress on that lower becomes too intense after a while

Cool man. You dont have to be heavy, spencer jumped 17'9" last year and only weighed about 143.
Im going to NON for sure. I suppose i could critique you... but unless there is an obvious fix, you might be better off posting it here and asking for ONLY coaches responses. Ill send you something privately if you like, but take a look at who responds, and take some of their advice. They know a lot more than i do. Also, if you can get a copy of Beginner to Bubka, that book can help you a TON if knowing where you WANT to be with your vault, and the critiques can help you get there. Anyway, you can send me vid, but make sure you send it to the REAL coaches on here too.
