For the moment, I would much rather hear that you're out on the track every day doing sets of 30 pole runs and 50 1 step pre-jumps on the grass.

yeah.
I shall try to :)
Like I said, [I think I said, at least] my coach is going to drop my pole off at my house some time tomorrow, so I can do some drills then. :)

The pre-jump drill can be done in the grass, or it can be done in the sand (but then I call it a sand Jagodin).

I'll do a bunch of those, as soon as my coach brings the pole :)
And I'll be sure to videotape them.
Though I'm still not 100% sure of the drill.

I am accualy really suprised on how well this went. But the point of the drill is mainly to make you jump up and have a strong plant that drives you foward with just the plant and not the long run. I have already seen you can take of frunning and jump straight (Thats what you do in your vault videos). Here you need one left where you jump up befor the pole tip touches ground and because of the jump and high reach of your arm you land safely to the ground.

ps. Widen your grip a few inches (not much, but if its too narrow it looks wierd and affects your running posture)

I did some of the drills today, though I have not posted them online yet.
I'm not QUITE sure whether I'm doing it right or not, but I guess I find out when people look at them when I post them!

ur still using 2 lefts instead of one but thats not that big of a deal.. i usualy teach drill from one left and starting with pole over sholder instead of planting. It looked like it got better as the sets went on but make sure to jump and push your hand straight up and not foward into the ground. Also make sure to keep knee up(seem to be doing pretty good) but also keep trail leg behind you the whole time and dont let it fall foward to much. One way to fix this during the drills if you are coordinated enough, is to hook your left foot on the pole until right befor you hit the ground (dont do if you think your going to hurt yourself.
