It varies from person to person, but it also varies according to weather conditions and how you're feeling on any given day.

This is where your best judgement ... and the knowledgeable opinion of your coach ... comes in.

The best option is to have lots of poles in your series to choose from. Second best option is to vary your run length, and a distant third is to raise your grip. Actually, I'm not even so sure that raising your grip is a good third option ... especially when your pushoff is so low.

Just IMHO.
