6P - 10-25-08 - Gym Drills and Skills

Unread postby joebro391 » Sat Oct 25, 2008 7:08 pm

Hey guys, i'm gonna continue to post videos in this thread, as usual but will also post either the thread-link or video-link in my HS Vaulting Blog in the 'training' page.

I just did some Bubka's on the High-Bar, some Whip-Swings on the High-Bar, some Swinging Bubka's on Rings, a free-hip circle on High-Bar, some Rope drills, and then something for KirkB

i feel better about these, than the last ones (for the exception of the Swinging Bubka's on the Rings).

Pause your video while you're doing the whip-swing, tap-swing, half-giant, whatever you want to call it, where you're hips begin to break. What is wrong with where it is? What does it cause you to do?

well it does just that: it breaks, early. and i should stay long, all the way, to the point where i am parallel to the ground. i noticed when i saw the footage )=

...unless you have something else in mind

Nope, that was it. It causes you to go 'out' instead of UP. Mess around with breaking when it FEELS too late, and find the right spot.
