3 PR's in one meet is not good enough for me

Unread postby joebro391 » Mon Jun 09, 2008 12:21 am

Hey, this is my first time posting video of me here so any comments good or bad are welcome.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=iGCYM7icyXU

The biggest thing that i see is my run...it sucks. form-wise, it's not bad, but i'm over exagerating the form and i'm getting no power from it. Other than that, i'm dropping my left hand a bit during the plant but the timeing seems about right. let me know what you think though. Thanks in advance. -Joe

All comments welcome

possible a little late plant and your run isnt as bad as you think but instead of running so upright try and get some power out of your run. the main thing that i see with your form is that you are bending your top arm. That arm should stay straight as it moves towards your quads. That alone will help you pr. pretty quickly.

Good luck

Also maybe try and move your run in 9 inches to a foot and see if your last 2 lefts can get a little bit quicker and more powerful off the ground. I love the upright run, and your jump looks solid... but the faster and more powerful you can be at the box while maintaining your awesome posture you have, the higher you can hold and then in turn jump!!

yea, thanks guys. i know what you mean about my run, i get no power out of it )= but i've been working on it with my coach and i feel faster already.

and yea, instead of doing a long-short at the end, i do this really bady long-long haha. so i'll have to just to a bunch of approaches until i can get out of that bad habbit and into a good one
