Bringing the standards in, on the right pole for where your standards are set, will give you more room over the bar but less room to clear it in front and behind the bar... meaning you hit it either on the way up or on the way down. So if you know you can clear a bar easily, go on a smaller pole with standards on 80 and give yourself plenty of room in front and behind the bar. Only pull your standards in when you have to in order to get the vertical hieght.

truuuuu on all this but come on guys .. were talkin about improving form to make it on .. not by little things that come way after the major ones on form.......... basically ya earlier plant..... alot stronger knee drive and u need to swing ure not swinging wutsoever.... u get that knee drive and swing and ull have to push those standards wayyyyyy back and u always want that .. because that means your pushing the pole to verticle .... good luck
