Very Knowledgeable I liked him
Once you got past his Aussie humor grin
He was full of knowledge and very likable. I Wish he had more time to talk to me as he was always rushed.
I see him full of passion to help anyone who will be willing to put into works what he has to offer.Bruce

Crying is good if you have to get it out of your system, just get it out, come back strong, and dont let it happen again!! Sometime i get REALLY frustrated at practice, and i dont really but i get so mad that when i get back on the runway i hit the best take off all day. then im all better!! lol
The greater the challenge, the more glorious the triumph

We had the oppurtunity to have Alan run off a small camp for us, and I have to say it was probably the most valuable two days I have ever had. His approach to the pole vault is incredibly simple, and it all correlates into actual pole vaulting. In other words, you are not doing drills for the sake of doing drills. Each exercise has a purpose and eventually carries over to the full movement. Two thumbs up for Alan Launder.

I never quite understood what everyone meant when they said 'get your plant up sooner!' I always thought that that meant i was lowering it to slow... but then Alan taught us this drill he used on Isinbayeva where u do the last six step on your approach but pause on the fifth one to check where your hands are and THEN it hit me what they meant.
I found that everyone can be a 'horrible beast' and that he absolutely hates when people smirk at an 'example' and that if you say any thing at all that makes a small joke of what he says you are all of a sudden 'flippant'.
HAHA! best two days of a vault camp of my life. I wish we had had more time....

Do just once what others say u can't do, and u will never pay attention to their limitations again.
