i wasn't quite sure where to put this but i figured this would do. i have been trying to get over 13'6'' but my chest barely touches it everytime, my coach said i have to start piking. he said when i feel myself start falling to try and wrap my legs back under the bar so that my hips can continue to be shot up. i understand what he means but i am having trouble visualising this i guess, and i was wondering if there was something that helped some of you learn to pike.

It's the wrong focus.
At best, you're going to gain a couple inches on your PR. At worst, you're going to forget about everything in the runup and bottom half of the vault. With a PR of 13-0, there's so many OTHER things that you should be focussing on, that you're just wasting your time trying to pike.
How's your run? How's your pole drop? How's your plant? How's your takeoff? How's your pre-stretch? How's your downswing? How's your upswing? How's your inversion? How's your extension? You get the idea!
BTW, you're ASSUMING that a pike bar clearance is the only way to go. There's many other ways to clear the bar, but none of them will improve your PR by a foot. Focus on what's IMPORTANT!
