Update...advice on poles

Just an update for those who helped in the past(especially Becca and DJ), my one vaulter skyed 9'6" yesterday holding at 11'1". This was the first meet she went from a full run. The mid chart is really starting to pay dividends. She was so quick at the end of the run, it was scary. She had 3 good attempts at 10(camera ran out of batteries), but basically ran out of room. Her standards were all the way back and she wasn't getting much return from the pole. She weighs about 115 and is on a 12' 120. She's definately ready to move her hand hold up, but like I said she is already not getting much return. The only bigger poles I have right now are a 13' 123 Essx and a 13' 130 Mystic(not sure on flex). I think I have enough money in my budget for 1 more pole, so what do you think the next step should be. Should I get something like a 12' 130/140 or 12'6" 130/140 or should I just start moving to the 13' poles even though I know it's a big jump. The way she is running, I suspect she will be moving up on poles very quickly.

Let me know your opinions. I want to get an order in today if possible. Thanks again everyone. (I really wish this site was around when I was jumping)

It's a pretty big jump to the 13' pole... http://www.skyjumpers.com/articles/pvpr ... table.html

I am a big fan of 12'6 poles to help bridge the gap. However, she still has a lot of room to work her way up on 12' poles as well... part of it is going to depend on how much your other girls weigh.

If at all possible, I would try to get 2 poles. Poles are very expensive to ship and it costs basically the same to ship 2 poles as one. Maybe a 12' 130 and a 12'6 125 or 130 Mystic... or get 2 12'4 ESSX poles... maybe a 123 and a 132.

If you can really only get 1 pole, I would think a 12'4 127 ESSX would be roughly halfway in between.

good morning

great job...

is she over bending the 12' poles???

if not, you have a few more inches of grip.. enough to maybe jump 10-6/11.. if she is over bending go to a 12..130

our girl vaulter jus recenly cleared 10 feet. she used a 11 140 lady rocket pole. she likes it alot and the bend is powerfull. maybe you sould move her to a 13 pole maybe 135 is she bends hers alot now. and sometimes when u dont get alot of return from a pole its due to a bad swing and not so good invert if she worked on those i bet she could clear 10 on her pole but i suggest a 13 or 12 6 135 lady rocket those the best girl poles
