Getting upside down

I know how to get upside down, swing trail led hard and rock back. But when I go to do it in a vault i end up holding the C position to long and do a front flip. It was fun at first but I can't clear any height when I do that. So I'm asking is there any drills that I can do to practice getting upside down.

Yes, work from 0-2 lefts with a standing grip +2 feet about, and work on first pushing the pole into the pit with that grip, landing on your trail knee and rowing the pole forward.
Then as that gets easier, move to swinging to your butt.
And so on until you swing to the small of your back, then fully to your back, then after you can do all those, do the same approach with a flyaway.
Then once it all works start backing up one left at a time and try to get a consistent pull through from each step... This will take a few practice sessions to get used to, and if your patient, will work. Hope that helps

Thanks bel142 I will try that. Once I master getting upside down I will be able to clear higher heights. Thank you for responding.
