There is a Push Off Drill

The Topper is the first exerciser that emphasizes the true balance between the top hand and the trail foot. It is an exerciser that shows the vaulter the line of force applied from the bottom of the pole to the top of the vaulters feet. The closer the vaulter stays to that line of force applied, the more force from the pole will be applied to the vaulters body vertically as long as the vaulter's body stays extended (The Topper also works on that strength). It utilizes elastic energy that is the recommended strength workout by the strength specialists at both the Pole Vault Summit and the US Olympic Training Center. It comes in 3 strengths made for 3 different length ranges of poles.

nifty drill, not sure if its for me? last week i improved this problem a lot...should that go under the sales forum? another good drill is a pulley machine with feet and hands in which you pull, turn, push and feet go up. an old coach of mine actually came up with this idea before someone patented it and began to sell it for $200.

The problem with the pully drill is that you're hanging from your feet and hands. In the vault the direction of force applied against the feet is the opposite of the force applied in the pully drill. If your body is out of position using the pully drill, your feet are still up. The direction of force applied to you feet in the vault is the same in the Topper drill. If your pole tip is out of the line of force applied in the Topper drill, your pole will fall to the ground. And you can purchase 4 Toppers for the price of one pully.
