Try counting your steps in your head, either lefts or some other pattern. This will let you know when to jump. After you get used to this, move your step around to takeoff in the right place.
Bad days are for rain. Rainy days are whatever you make of them.

do you prefer jumping off your right? If you do you might want to try jumping left handed.

good morning

use the "MID" chart and practice your run on the track... plant into a towel or sliding box...........

you may find that your "MID" is 2 feet out from the chart at first (normal problem) because you haven't developed the correct posture and stride rythm........

a 10' jumper should have a 37 foot "MID" .. strides of 4'10"..

mark 6 strides of 4'10 on the track.. run in and hit the first one on your correct takeoff foot... the last mark should be the same foot..

start.........................L R L R L R L....box
..........................."MID"
then mark 6 .. 5'0" strides and do the same.. then 5'2"..

this practice should clean up your approach on the runway..

Come out of the back... Get your feet down... Plant big
