Having trouble getting elbow through and dropping shoulders
So for the last 2 months or so I have had a problem with getting my elbow through to the other side of the pole. This is causing me to rotate around the pole a bit. I also am not able to drop my shoulders back the way I once did. My run, plant, and take-off are not an issue, but I am getting really frustrated about this. I think I might not have my shoulders square to the pit when I am rowing, but that is all I can think of.
I am jumping on a 15' 185 pole. I am 5' 10" and weigh around 175....
Any one got an idea?

I have plenty of video, but I have no place to put the video up. I have never had a coach, so I tape everything and watch it. I am also on a bigger pole now.......a pacer carbon....16'1" 185 with an 18.5 flex, and I am gripping at 15' 1"....still weigh 175......if you know of a good place to post some video let me know, I would love to have some experienced coaches take a quick look at it.

Reading your post actually might help myself. Pulling with your left arm to get your elblow past the pole will naturally bring your shoulders down. In this way, both aspects are related. A look at some videos (Bubka's 601 jump in Athens on stabhochsprung.com is great) and you can see how the bottom arm is pressed upward during the swing, but then tucked in as Bubka gets inverted.
If you are doing drills to help this in your vault, don't do them for too long (one week max). This may create bad habits like the rotation you mentioned.
