Today i was vaulting against the win. For some reason, i was inverting fine, except unable to make it to the coaches box. When i finally did, we set the bar up at 11' for a warm up. as i proceded in my plant, one of my hands slipped, i dont remember which one, and while i n the air, the pole reflexed back to me and hit with full force my "lower regons". it was a very painful blow, and currently sidelined me for the rest of practice this weekend. i was wondering if this has happened to anyone or if anyone knows signs to watch out for ...im not really sure what ent wrong, but it rame right back at me and it HURT!
I've been on the recieving end of that myself once.....luckily it hit the side of my leg (nasty bruise from my hip to my knee for about a week). Mine happened cause I was inexperienced and when I stalled out I held on and the pole rebent. I guess I thought that it would shoot me sideways somewhere and so I thought it'd be smarter to slide my hands down the pole.... while it worked and I slowly came to the ground, I learned my lesson. Hang on!
