Joes jump was from 6 lefts with a crazy 20mph cross wind... he made it, which won the meet, and then moved it up to 16-2 and gave it a few tries at that... great jumps for not so great conditions!!

I know he can put up big marks this season, has it been the weather slowing him down during outdoor?

Rumor has it that it was both weather but also that his coach didn't let him vault much because he was really good in other events... pretty frustrating I am sure!!

Im sure he is! He looked like he could put up some marks in shot, 100, 200, and 400 at NIN!!

Thats a shame, hopefully now that school is out, he has a chance to focus in for the summer if he so chooses. If not, hes got a ton of potential going into Akron!!

I have been jumping with Joe for the last 5 years, he usually jump very well indoors and very well during summer meets, probably because as Zach said, he has other events to compete in during the outdoor hs season. I would expect mroe big marks from him this summer

The Michigan outdoor season is not set up for good results Michigan. Joe will blow some doors of this summer once he recovers from the beating and pounding he getting from running 3 meets a week and doing 4 events each time. I went through the same thing when I was in HS.
