EIU grad brings top vaulters to state

CHARLESTON -- Never a pole vaulter himself, Bob Cervenka started training them as a teaching assistant at Charleston High School. As a former state champion high jumper at Downers Grove North who had moved on to Eastern Illinois, he already had an idea about how to repay his college track coach, Neil Moore, and the EIU program.
