I just book us at the Swissotel Chicago its a five star room on priceline for $70 each room, is right down the street from the McCormick place?

I check out the web site for the hotel and they charge $230 a night, so it looks like we are getting a good deal

Does anyone know anything about the hotel and how far way is it from were we are jumping?

Yeah...that hotel is awesome! But you're going to have to take a cab to McCormick place...or else you'll freeze to death.

The runway is on the way up....tore it down yesterday (not sure how many people it should take to move this runway...but i now know how many you shouldnt use), loaded it into a U-Haul and off Michael Fontanna went. Bring your big sticks and for those of you who attended the Gill Factory Vault it is THAT runway.

See ya all on Saturday.

Bryan we can't thank you enough for supplying the awesome runway! set up was pretty quick with Fontana there to help.

for those coming to vault - the runway is about 140ft long, and lightning fast! it is a beast to transport/set up/tear down so we all need to thank Bryan Carrel & Jeff Watry from Gill Manufacturing, and Mike Fontana from The Athletic Equipment Source for their help.

Pole Drop Off & Parking Update

We finished set up today and have some additional tips on parking & pole drop off.

there is a turn-around drive near the entrance to the south building where you can drop off poles.

Once in the building -- go up the two sets of escalators, hang a right, and you'll find us in the far back left corner.

here is a picture....

PARKING TIP

you can park on the street FREE on MLK Blvd South of I-55. it is a 5 minute walk to McCormick. There are some other side streets that may have parking as well.

BE SURE TO OBEY ALL POSTED PARKING LAWS. double check the signage before you leave your car.

here's photo of the MLK Blvd street parking areas....

Any results or info on how it went?
Fight the good fight: It's nice to be great but it's far greater to be nice.
