Vaulters from Illinois at 2008 Olympic Trials

The state of Illinois has good representation at this years Olympic Trials. If you look at the entries that are "qualified" at http://www.usatf.org/events/2008/Olympi ... status.asp
you won't see IL listed by anybody's name, but lets root for the graduates of Illinois high schools who will be competing today (and hopefully Sunday).

Mark Hollis
Darren Niedermeyer
Justin Norberg

Better luck next year to Adam Pierson who came close to making it in. I guess we can also acknowledge Ray Scotten as somewhat of an Illinois connection as he spent some time in college at SIU-Carbondale.

4 out of 27 (15%of the vaulters entered)is pretty good for IL HS alums.

Wow I didn't know that Hollis or Norberg were from illinois high schools.

Hollis went to Freeport High School near Rockford....his High School Mascot - Pretzels
