With the price of gas being what it is, you sure it's not cheaper to fly?

I am flying, but our airport has few if any planes large enough to carry poles, so we will have to ship them. I just need a rental because some of my family is coming and wants to do a little site seeing. Even it if were cheaper to drive it would take me 40 hours to get there, which is probably not the best way to get to a track meet and compete well.

SITE SEEING?

Unread postby pvpole » Sat Dec 16, 2006 8:30 am

Don't plan on much site seeing, two years ago at this time Reno was fogged-In most of the day and snow on the ground. The event, along
with many eating places at the casino has pently to see and do in the
short time just staying put there. Enjoy!!!

You can tell that they are in the process of making a lot of changes to the hotel. So far they haven't done a TON, but I bet when we go back next year it will look really great.

Right now they are in the process of ripping out a lot of carpet and replacing it with tile. There are a lot of areas that are blocked off and hallways that are narrowed while they do this (like right around the elevators).

They removed all the slot machines and such that were right by the elevators and coffee shop, there is just a big open area at the moment. Not sure what they are planning on putting there.

They are putting in a Chocolate and Wine bar there. I had to ask.
