Fabiana Murer plans to compete in Reno

SAO PAULO (BRA): South American Pole Vault record holder Fabiana Murer will compete indoors. The continental indoor (470) and outdoor (480) record holder plans to compete already early January at PV summit in Reno, USA. Afterwards, her next meetings will be in Europe. She finished tenth in the Olympics.

Yay! I thought Fabiana was robbed at the Olympics. I think she has 5 meter potential.

murer is tough...will be ranked maybe 7 or 6 in world this year ..can jump consistent 4.50 4.60 good days 4.70 I dont think she will jump in elite group that is usually reserved for americans.as for 5meter potential i dont think so,not a top 5 in the world but certainly 5-10 and a great competitor!

They have occasionally allowed foreign athletes to jump in the elite group... Yvonne Buschbaum and another German girl jumped with the US women several years ago... there might be one foreign male in the guys group.
The Summit staff don't pay for foreigners to be here.

Last year Gio jumped in the mens elite group for the summit...
