Oh nevermind, the dates are after I get back to school. We start classes again on the 18th... damn it.

The first couple days of classes are the easiest to miss. I have a feeling I'll be missing my J-term final. If my teacher won't let me take it early. If they won't let me do that, I'll take a different class until I find one that works.

Most classes don't do a whole lot the first couple days anyway because of people adding and dropping classes.

I guess that I've got it pretty good then. I finish finals the day before Summit starts, and have no school the Friday that Summit begins on.

Our hs athletic director counts it as an athletic field trip so the absences don't count against the vaulters that go.
That's Jodie!!

A scripture that makes me think of all you girls and guys pole vaulting....

Actually it's usually easier to miss class in college. It depends on the class though.

Well, I won't know what classes, and more specifically: what the teacher's opinions are to missing classes, until 2 days before Reno, so not enough of a time span to take the risk.

You don't sign up for classes until the first day of class?

Most schools you register for classes months in advance, giving ample time to hunt down teachers and find out their policies.

If you fly out early on thursday, you miss 2 days of class. Generally, most college classes are MWF or T,Th, so you'll miss one day of each class. What's the worst that will happen if you miss 1 day of class? If you got a late enough flight on thursday, you might be able to leave after your classes if they are in the morning, and then only miss friday. Summit ends saturday night, you fly back sunday in time for classes monday.
