Who is going to Reno?
You can always tell a master from anyone else.... or atleast you and your white helmet! I hope we get to see each other again and catch up on our pole vault stories!master wrote:I think Becca should set up a booth where all the members of this forum can meet and get to know each other in person! We could have name tags with our login name.

Lucky girl! I have to teach a class tomorrow morning so I can't escape until the afternoon (as it is I'm missing a faculty meeting ). That means I won't arrive until late tomorrow night...after 9 o'clock.
I may have to cancel my competition plans though. I've been nursing a hip flexor injury that just won't go away (3 + weeks now!). So either I have to be grown up and admit that it wouldn't be prudent to try to jump when injured, or else throw caution to the wind and give it a try for fun.
I'm happy to hear advice.

Well Russ, if you are going to be there and you have paid your money, I think you should get yourself ready just as if it was a go. Do a real careful warmup and "test the water". You can always cancel at any time. Of course this is a comment by someone who doesn't know the seriousness of a "hip flexor" injury.
Do you have another meet scheduled soon after Reno? Do you have time to recover if the injury was further aggrevated? Those are the thoughts I would consider if I were in your shoes.
