When do people start booking flights to head to Reno, when you do you book your hotel..etc. My dad and I are going to go this year, and it would be my first time out there! Just wondering...thanks!

I usually keep an eye on the prices for flights and then when the price is good I snatch it up. Last year this was in november.

threats of violence or blackmail are always good negotiation tactics. they rank right up there w/ taping the bar to the standards. :D

Well try and let your coach know that the Summit is by far the most informative pole vault clinic on the Planet. They cover everything from safety to technical theories. Not only do you get to soak up an endless amount of knowledge but you also get to do what we all live for.....compete.
Plus the Friday night elite vault alone is worth the entire trip. If you've never seen it then your missing out, I've never felt so much energy in one room.

Things to Think about $$$$

Plane Tickets (Depending on Airline)
+ Southwest Philly to Reno $230-and up
Pole Bag Costs (Depending on Airline)
+ Southwest $50
Athlete Entry Fees
+ $65 per athlete/Coach
Lodging (Depending on Hotel)
+ $39-and up
Food
+ How much can you eat in Three Days??? $40, $50, $100?
Travel means
+If you can get a room at the Hilton then you don't need to rent a car or van to get around. The Summit directors have shuttles running from the Hilton to the Airport for both poles and people.

My two cents... Now go convince your coach.
If someone tries to step on your dreams.... Step on their face.

And if VaultNinja's advice doesn't work, hey, you've always got SKOT's to fall back on as a last resort :P

Anyone know the best way to book cheap tickets for 8 people. I found the best price but the site (expedia) only books 6 people per reservation.
