I hear that every night from 3-7pm is happy hour at all of the hotel bars and that margaritas are $1

Never hit a 15 when the dealer has a 6 showing,
Never split face cards,
Never hit anything over 16 no matter how lucky you feel and
Always split Aces and eights and double down on 11
Other than that have fun, meet new people, and see what you can learn. The worst people out there are the ones who allready know everything and are just there to let you know how much you don't know.

Winners find a way to win, losers find an excuse.

If you wake up at 3am because your brain is still in the central time zone, you'll often find 50 cent chips available on the roulette tables by the time you get your morning coffee in you. If you walk away while you're up it makes for a better flight home. Wish I was there! Hope everyone has a great experience!

^bump for 2011!
I can't remember if I mentioned this elsewhere in this thread, but IMO the pillows kind of suck at the Nugget. I've brought my own the past few years (I end up checking a bag anyway) and have been very glad of that decision.

Bump! Anyone have any more tips to add?

If you are checking a bag anyway, pack some snacks. They are not always easy to come by at the nugget and the arena.
