hmmm....kinda interesting. seems he mustv'e worked somew3hat hard to train for a marathon in only two months. from my running knowledge (decent by the way, i used to run and my bro is in top five in state in cross country, learn stuff from him, etc.), that seems like a pretty good accomplishment, a whole marathon with only two months training but who knows.

I would agree. I dont think 2 months training is quite enough to run a marathon. At least without a little walkin in there somewhere
Maybe the USATF needs to test him.................THG

yeah, he beat my brother's time from when he ran the marine corps marathon a couple of weeks ago. my brother is like can run 3 miles in well under 17 still but way undertrained for his marathon(he was running only about 2times per week although one was usually over 10 miles and then a couple of weeks before the marathon he started going to wrestling practice and not running) he cruised through the first half of his marathon in a nice pace of 1hour 50 min. then started to cramp had to stop a couple of times to stretch. ended up in finishing in about 4:30. he ran the thing in a pair of shoes that he had been training in as well as wearing around. hopefully he didnt mess up his feet too much.

I think this is pretty cool. Our sport needs all the positive publicity it can get right now. And to see an individual like P-Diddy do something to encourage children to get out and participate in athletics, is a great thing.

i think the whole thing is being blown out of porportion, i mean it's great that he's doing it but it seems like a big publicity stunt. i dunno maybe that's just me.

I think it is. I guess it is good that it brought attention to running, but I think he benefited more than anybody else.

I don't care why he did it...I still don't think he deserved the honor of this Athlete of the Week thing...he's NOT an athlete...he just decided to run a few times...big whoops, that's not a defintion of an athlete according to me...
