I know Isinbayeva has opened at 4.70 a number of times... is 4.72 the highest a woman has ever successfully opened?

All 3 remaining guys miss on their first attempts at 5.75.

Pyrek and Rogowska are both down to 3rd attempts at 4.72.

Pyrek and Rogowska are both out.

If Isinbayeva clears 4.79 she will get a diamond. But will she just pass to a higher height?

The guys are done. The results now show Brad as having 3 misses at 5.50. Not sure if he really did or if they just marked that to end the competition in the computer. Hysong, Jeng, and Hooker all tie for first.

From Eurosport:

21:31    Men's jump off at 5.75 continues, a bit out of order as they clearly are struggling at this height, they should either share the purse or bring the bar down a few centimetres...

21:29    But she runs straight through it, she's laughing though so maybe she's saving the best for last...

21:29    Isinbayeva again...

21:26    Back to the men's vault, they're having a jump-off, weirdly, instead of sharing the win...

21:23    And she just touches it on the way down! Oops. She has two more attempts, but will she take them...

21:23    Isinbayeva goes for 5.01... Would be a new world record... A surprise if she makes it...

21:19    Men's pole vault ends in a three way tie, after Hysong and Hooker fail to better 5.65.

21:16    Isinbayeva in the women's now... 4.79... flies over it, almost ironically. So she gets the twenty thousand dollars for winning and breaking the tournament record.

21:13    Men's pole vault - Jeng up now, could win it if he clears this 4.75... but doesn't. Brad Walker turned in early after snapping his pole at 5.50, so Jeng and Hysong and Hooker will share first if the latter two don't make their third attempts at the height.

21:10    Ploe Vault - 4.79 for Isinbayeva, a stadium record... but she falls off the pole without vaulting, obviously had a problem there.

21:01    She gets great height, but somehow knocks it due to a lack of depth, so as expected Isinbayeva wins...

20:59    Women's Pole Vault - Pyrek fails with her third attempt at 4.42, now let's see if fellow Pole Rogowska can do it...

20:52    Pole Vault Women - Rogowska flunks 4.72 for the second time, she's looking to build on a great performance in London on Friday and has a real chance at a medal in Helsinki.

20:51    Crashes into the bar at 5.75, but good performance thus far from the unheralded youngster.

20:51    Jeng to go in men's Pole Vault, joint leader on 5.65...

20:49    Pole Vault - Monica Pyrek just bottled 4.72, Polish record was set on Friday by Rogowska at 4.80, she's still to come with her second go at 4.72...

20:39    Isinbayeva swoops over 4.72 with ease...

20:33    In the women's pole vault only Anna Rogowska remains, having cleared 4.65, she hasn't missed a height yet but knows Isinbayeva is yet to even start, probably coming in at 4.72 or thereabouts...

19:20    Tatiana Polnova of Russia is going for 4.45 in the women's pole vault, but fails to clear it.

19:20    Alhaji Jeng from Sweden clears 5.50 in the pole vault... He looks fairly comfortable.

19:11    Men's Pole Vault, been on for over half an hour, Patrik Kristiansson of Sweden clears 5.50 to the delight of the home crowd.

18:50    Belin of Sweden clears 4.25 in the Pole Vault, Tatyana Grigorieva has apparently failed this height this evening.

18:50    Anna Rogowska is a talented one to look out for, she broke the Polish record with 4.80m in London on Friday, and could push that tonight.

18:48    Women's Pole Vault, obviously everyone's excited about Yelena Isinbayeva, the bar's at 4.47 at the moment, so Yelena won't come in for a while.

So Brad broke a pole (and decided not to re-do his 3rd attempt), the men are now having a jump-off, and Isinbayeva just missed her 3rd attempt at 5.01. Oh well, at least she gets her diamond for breaking the meet record.
