Hartwig defeats Miles


This winter Derek Miles has been just about as dominant in the Pole Vault as Rybakov in the High Jump, but while Rybakov extended his win streak that of Miles came to an end. 5.43 and 5.55 caused no problems but at 5.66 he missed twice before saving his last chance for 5.76 in a desperate attempt to snatch the victory. But Miles was not successful and had to be content with third place in the competition.


Finishing ahead were the “evergreenâ€Â

I posted just a piece of the full IAAF article on the meet. They were comparing Derek to a high jumper mentioned earlier in the article.
