A junior athlete, Kostas Filippidis, was the star of the second day of the Greek Indoor Championships. The Greek youngster won the pole vault with 5.55m and then attemped at 5.67m. for the juniors world indoor record. "I can make it in one of the coming meetings" stressed the young champion talking to the Greek television. "Kostas is able to break not only this record, but also the outdoor record next summer" added his coach, Dimitris Kytteas, the former Balkan pole vault champion.
