Vaulters land on the rocks
July 27, 2004

POLE-VAULT pin-up Tatiana Grigorieva has revealed a secret love split days after her Olympic dream was shattered.

The 28-year-old silver medallist failed to qualify for the Olympic team.

Now it has emerged she has split from her husband, fellow pole vaulter Viktor Chistiakov.

Tough training schedules, which have often left them on different continents, are blamed.

Tatiana said: "There's been a lot of things going on in the past few months outside of sport that have taken my focus from where I need to be."

Dana is Canadian, and last time I looked the current administration had not invaded Canada yet.

That's a shame, because I hung out with Victor a lot in europe and he use to always brag about how he had the perfect Wife. Im sure he is more heart broken than she is.
