Re: Live Updates from Women's Finals - Discuss here only!
And women's uneven bars finished finished about a half hour ago. An American (Nastia Liukin) and a Chinese(He Kexin) tied! They broke the tie with execution scores, so the (most likely) underage Chinese girl will be taking home the gold, and another (most likely) underage Chinese girl wil get bronze. I am so upset! Nastia's routine was much much better.

Pyrek clears to take the lead.

CBC is showing the 200m semis with the vault in the background. The rhythm clapping for the PVers is screwing up the start for the 3rd section. Take that, sprinting! lol

Hey, did Shawn compete in uneven bars? If so, how did she do?

More from the BBC:
1321: Back to that missing pole. The women's pole vault final has stalled because Brazil's Fabiana Murer has lost her pole. How exactly do you lose a huge, bendy pole? Do you reckon she left it on the tube? Anyway, she's frantically looking for it, but until then favourite Yelena Isinbayeva is in her familiar pose - lying down with a towel on her face.
I bet it got put in the wrong tube. Or maybe she left it laying out and some infield person put it away thinking it looked bad for TV.

I wonder if Murer ever found her pole, or if she missed because she is using a different one.
