Here's two post-meet interviews, with Renaud Lavillenie and with Shawn Barber.

RL explains in English that he missed 5.90 on the same pole that he's cleared 5.90 on plenty of times this year already; that he felt good; and that he didn't know what went wrong.

Shawn expressed gratitude to his competitors; and was glad that they pushed him to excel this season.

Video comparisons in real time and slow motion of the 5.80m clearances in the final of the Men’s pole vault in the IAAF World Championships in Beijing 2015.

Some food for thought re swing actions and inversion technique variability between vaulters. Within vaulter variability of Shawnacy Barber's technique is very little when his 5.80m and 5.90m vaults are compared.

The video clips used were synchronised using the nearest still image showing the individual vaulter's take-off foot toes breaking ground contact.
Every new opinion at its starting, is precisely a minority of one!
