When is a pole to old?

I have a couple old poles, from the mid 70's.
Are these still good?

If they have been stored inside and do not have any visible dings, scratches, cracks, scrapes, etc, they should be fine.

last time i used a Catapole from the early 70s i shattered it into like 6 pieces...
i guess it depends on the condition of the pole

UCS has a pole that's still the same flex from yearrrrsss ago, if it's taken care of almost forever.
