Fighting injuries!!

Unread postby izzystikchik » Thu Feb 09, 2006 8:23 pm

Finally back from an undiagnosed back injury. Still not completely healed, but just enough pain i can deal with and focus at the same time. Its been almost 6 weeks since i've been in competition!

For those of you who are injured, I just want to say that it is the hardest thing to go through, so don't give up!

Its a humbling and character building process!!

Just wanted to put that out there, i have a meet, the Pepsi Challenge this weekend, its my last and only chance i have to qualify, but if i don't, its ok, cause i'm happy just to be back!!! ;)

I have begun to realize that most NCAA athletes have some sort of injury they have in the back of their mind. Just go to a college meet and look at the number of people with ice on their bodies.......but that is what it takes sometimes.

True, but you have to admit there are a lucky few who are able to completely recover or never get injured at all

I no heighted again at the meet yesterday. Oh well, the back was acting up more than ussual, but i no heighted due to kinks in my form. I think the pain was a little troublesome. There is always outdoor season :)

I can beat that :o

Pain began last February (got so bad that I couldn't run or walk without feeling it)...misdiagnosed until this past December....been in a walking cast ever since...but *hopefully* it will be coming off when I go in again next Thursday *keeping my fingers crossed* and I'll be able to get back on the runway :)
